Terry McKenna's first CD SONGWRITER contains 12 original Country songs, including Ballads, Bluegrass and Country Blues. Self-produced in his home studio, the recording took about a year to complete. He played guitar and keyboards and arranged and programmed all the other instruments. "It is truly amazing what can be achieved working from home with a guitar, microphone and a computer!"

Pete Smith, well-known and respected journalist with Country Music Round-Up, reviewed SONGWRITER in the January 2002 issue of the magazine. In his review, he described Terry McKenna as a "storyteller" and that's a label he very much appreciates. Pete said: "Terry is a storyteller. He sings tales of life, of emotions we all feel, of situations we can all identify with..."

Gerry Ford, a long-time favourite performer on the international country music scene, recently gave SONGWRITER a favourable review on the website of Country Music & Dance Magazine. He said: "There are some great story songs here, like on Emma, The Songwriter, They Have Their Dreams and I Remember Rosie...I'm sure others could have successes with these songs."

Terry's most recent musical project, I've Been There,  is an acoustic album of some of his songs. His friend and brilliant musician, David Tucker, produced the album and played a variety of acoustic instruments, including guitars, mandolin, dobro and autoharp. Multi-talented David Tucker is a member of 101 Proof, one of the region's finest country/country rock bands. He owns a very impressive range of stringed musical instruments and features several when gigging with 101 Proof.
